An intro to College Kingdom

Welcome to my first blog post on College Kingdom. As an introduction, I thought I’d share the reason why College Kingdom was created.
Too often when searching for education programs I came across sites in the search results that were little more than lead generation sites for the schools. Information on these sites would be inaccurate or incomplete and often, accredited schools would be missing.
I thought there could be a better way. I wanted to create a site that allowed users to get the most accurate information – from the schools themselves, by allowing users to search just the schools’ websites. I also wanted to give visibility to schools that were often overlooked in other college search sites – career schools and adult education programs. At the same time, I wanted to make sure that “diploma mill” schools would not be listed.
The result is College Kingdom. Using government data and performing hundreds of hours of research, we’ve created a site, that I believe, offers the most complete, accurate and usable information on accredited colleges, universities, career schools and adult education programs in the United States. Our implementation of the Google Custom Search engine allows users to search the websites of all of these schools or a custom list of schools, giving much more accurate and usable results than what could be achieved using regular search engines.
I hope that you’ll agree. This site is new and I’m sure we’ll run into a few problems here and there, but we’re proud of what we’ve built and excited about launching new features and improvements in the future. If there is anything I can do to make the site better, please let me know.
